Terms of Service

Social Media Clipper (powered by Recut) transcribes videos you provide, finds and renders clips, and lets you edit them by editing the transcript. The same engine is available as an MCP tool, a CLI, and a REST API. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials and API keys secure. You’re responsible for all activity under your account, including actions taken by agents or automations you authorize. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You retain all ownership of the videos you submit and the clips you generate (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights to the content you process and that doing so doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights or any law.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Process content you don’t have the right to use.
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the API beyond your plan.
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or probe our infrastructure.

You’re responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party platform you download from. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or put it at risk.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor and renew automatically until canceled. Transcription minutes and other limits are defined by your plan; you can review your usage in your account. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice, effective on your next billing cycle.

You can cancel anytime from your account; access continues through the end of the paid period. You may delete your projects and account, after which we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. AI-generated clip suggestions and edits are probabilistic — review output before publishing. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ingestion of any particular source will always succeed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Social Media Clipper and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We’ll update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, give notice in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
